1 gopher in need of a dentist

Yesterday I walked around the lake on my lunch break with my mom. The weather was cooler than it's been and there were some interesting clouds. As has been the case since the third pelican departure, the lake was peaceful. The cormorants were mostly in their main tree. There were a few on the platform but not many swimming in the lake.

Phyllis and her troop made an unusual foray into the area North of the pier.

I didn't see herons of any type but there were the usual coots, mallards and buffleheads. I also spotted a pie-billed grebe and an osprey flying overhead. There were a few turtles on logs. My mom spotted this gopher who seemed to be in need of a tooth cleaning.
