Walter Gibson and jury duty

I watched the S14: E9 episode of Married at First Sight recently and in that episode one of the couples had a picnic in Gibson Park in Revere, Massachusetts. The last "old" post that I had read from News from ME was Who Knows What Evil Lurks in the Heart of Presidential Candidates…? which says this about Walter Gibson

For those of you unfamiliar with the career of Mr. Gibson, he was a giant in the fields of pulp magazine writing and in magic. He wrote hundreds of Shadow novels under the pen name of Maxwell Grant.

(The emphasis is mine.)

A few weeks ago I had jury duty and one of the other potential jurors mentioned The Shadow and spoke a version of the introduction to the radio show, "Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shadow knows!"

Cal Poly's entry to the 2024 Rose Parade was Shock n’ Roll: Powering the Musical Current which featured a Gibson Flying V guitar.
