Yesterday on my lunch break I went on my usual walk around the lake. Nearly at the beginning I noticed some wispy clouds against a shade of blue I like. It seemed vaguely reminiscent of Van Gogh's The Starry Night to me:
I spotted three pelicans around the lake. At first one was close to the Pavilion and seemed asleep. At least it was unmoving. The other two pelicans were swimming together and then suddenly one took off and flew about fifty feet away. By the time I rounded the lake, all three were swimming together:
When I passed the flamingos at the zoo they were going off as they sometimes do.
